My Story
Misty was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, USA. She attended Delta College and SVSU and has a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Art and an Associates Degree in Art and Design and Liberal Arts. She has been working in the Great Lakes Bay Region's art community for over 8 years. Currently Curator of Education at Studio 23 / The Arts Center and instructor.
Having a diverse study in art, she has experience in a wide variety of medium. Currently you can find her works in oil, acrylic, photography, and mixed media. She enjoys traveling and using life experiences to bring inspiration to her work. Her abstract work is inspired by emotional experiences that or memories that she would like to capture in the moment of feeling the raw emotions. Still life, photography, and prints visually capture snap shots of major moments in her life, whether it be literal or implied.
